We recently received this nice review from one of our colleagues, Aaron Charlton.

As an SEO professional, I’ve always known that hosting quality can have an impact on a site’s search performance (for better or worse). This is especially true for local businesses in competitive niches like healthcare. This was made more salient for me about a month into 2025 when I moved two client sites to a new host.
The client sites in question — TMSInstitute.co and SleeplessInArizona.com — were hosted on GoDaddy’s managed WordPress platform. Both serve medical patients and depend heavily on local SEO visibility. And both were struggling a bit with longer load times which obviously can negatively impact both search ranking and conversion rates. The TMS site in particular was taking well over 4 seconds to load on mobile — completely unacceptable in today’s SEO landscape. Bounce rates were high. Rankings were slipping.
And then, GoDaddy’s infrastructure collapsed.
GoDaddy’s Silent Crash
In January 2025, sleeplessinarizona.com went completely dark for a day with intermittent corresponding rolling outages before and after the big outage. No notice. No emails. No status updates. Just dead air.
I spent an hour on the phone with their off-shore “tech support” that was totally disconnected from the team that actually manages the servers. They had no idea what was going on. Later, we discovered that GoDaddy was quietly dealing with a federal lawsuit over lax security practices. It seemed they were scrambling behind the scenes to clean up years of neglect.
That was it for us. We made the decision to move everything to OnsiteWP.
OnsiteWP Made an Immediate SEO Difference
Once we migrated both sites, the results were visible almost instantly — not just to my client (who was the first to notice and he was thrilled), but also in Google Search Console and analytics.
- Page load times dropped by more than 50%. On mobile, TMSInstitute.co now loads in ~1.5 seconds. We made the changeover in the beginning of February 2025.
- Mobile Core Web Vitals improved across the board. This is a major ranking factor for Google, and something GoDaddy’s hosting just couldn’t deliver.
- Time on site increased. Bounce rate dropped. Faster load times meant users stuck around — and converted.
- Rankings recovered and improved. Within weeks, we saw a climb in local pack visibility and organic impressions.
Better Support = Fewer Headaches
Beyond the technical upgrade, what really sold us on OnsiteWP was the quality of support. Their team are actual WordPress developers — not a call center reading from a script. When there’s an issue (which has been rare), we have a knowledgeable person we can talk to immediately.
As someone managing SEO for multiple medical sites, that’s invaluable. Hosting is no longer a liability. It’s a strategic advantage.
Final Word
If you’re managing SEO for local businesses — especially in healthcare — your hosting isn’t just “infrastructure.” It’s a ranking factor.
Moving from GoDaddy to OnsiteWP wasn’t just a tech decision — it was an SEO win. Our clients noticed the speed. We saw the rankings improve. And we finally feel confident that we’re not one outage away from a crisis.
